Can you imagine today Magellan or Columbus getting VC money? Why should we take risk anymore, when so much wealth is around us?
Only an appetite, and a willingness and passion to take risks can secure future rewards.
This is an idea I can get behind. These guys can manufacture prosthetic legs out of PVC pipe for $25.
Watch this video. It’s astonishing! This guy goes from being a social outcast, unable to walk, to a regular guy who can walk, dance, and even play soccer.
Absolutely mind-blowing. Well done gentlemen. Well done indeed.
The Darwin Deez show this weekend was amazing. For starters, the setting was intimate, the crowd was lively, and above all, it was clearly evident that this band absolutely loves what they do.
I actually went to this show by myself, because the friends who were available to come along preferred to play video games. They missed out. I would gladly go back (and pay double) to see them perform again.
This song is my favorite. It’s called DNA, and if you listen carefully to the words, you will see how beautifully mournful a delightful tune can be.
*Sorry for the shaky camera and low-quality audio… it’s the best I could do given the circumstances.
What makes an influencer? Will you be one?
INFLUENCERS is a short documentary that explores what it means to be an influencer and how trends and creativity become contagious today in music, fashion and entertainment.
The film attempts to understand the essence of influence, what makes a person influential without taking a statistical or metric approach.
Written and Directed by Paul Rojanathara and Davis Johnson, the film is a Polaroid snapshot of New York influential creatives (advertising, design, fashion and entertainment) who are shaping today’s pop culture.
“Influencers” belongs to the new generation of short films, webdocs, which combine the documentary style and the online experience.
I was asked at work to create a presentation called “Secrets of Success.” The goal is to define what success means to me, as well as what has moved/inspired me to succeed.
Here’s what I came up with. I hope you enjoy it, dear Tumblr.
